Our Kindergarten Program
In our Kindergarten classrooms the children will meet academic goals through special enriching activities, which include A.M. Meetings, Opening and Closing Circle Time, as well as Small and Whole Groups. During our classroom activities our Teaching Specialists will ensure your child is prepared academically and socially for their future, by helping them develop reading, writing, and social skills.
Daily Routines and Activities
Greetings and Goodbye Rituals
Positive starts to the day, comes with a handshake, hug, or high-five. This ritual helps to ease the transition from parent to teacher.
Adventure Art Activities
Creativity is encouraged as our Teaching Specialists and the children explore and learn about various styles and techniques of art.
Meals and Relaxation Time
Beginning with a prayer and incorporating our Trampoline Etiquette curriculum, to promote and instill table manners, or family style meals encourage children to build healthy relationships as well as healthy bodies.
Children develop self-awareness, while gaining a sense of independence and accomplishment, as they visit various exploration stations. These stations use individual and group exploration to aid learning and discovery.
Small Group Time
Our Teaching Specialists take the time to meet with a small group of children everyday. This allows our Teaching Specialists make a special connection with each child. Children are encouraged to share ideas and opinions.
Large Group Time
There are unlimited activities to do as a large group, such as, welcoming a new friend, writing a story together, predicting what might happen in a science experiment or problem solving as a classroom family.
During Morning and Afternoon Circle Times, listening and speaking skills are fostered in fun, interactive ways using activities such as songs, literacy activities, phonics, science experiments and math activities.
ART AND IMAGINATION
Your child will feel like an artist as they learn about multicultural artworks and classic fine art. Opportunities will be given for the children to express their own creativity as they try their hand at different styles of art.
SCIENCE AND INVESTIGATION STATION
Children will explore the world around them through sand and water sensory. They will also investigate the wonders of science by discovering, planting, exploring and asking questions.
MATH AND TECHNOLOGY
Math and number concepts are reinforced through interactive-on activities such as manipulatives, group games and daily routines throughout the entire day. Important concepts such as counting and recognizing numbers and patterns are explored in the world around us. Technology is introduced through computer activities, cds and stories on tape. Through technology math, literacy, and problem solving skills are enriched.
SOCIAL STUDIES AND CULTURAL CONNECTIONS
Children learn to cooperate with others while exploring their classrooms, community, and world. Our Teaching Specialists help bring a variety of cultures and experiences to the classroom by bringing in items and ideas that allow the children to use their imaginations and pretend to travel and experience new cultures as well as letting children pretend to be different “characters” in the world that is familiar to them.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
By teaching about nutrition, exercise, safety, and health practices, our Teaching Specialist help lay a healthy foundation for your child to lead a healthy balanced life.
LANGUAGE AND LITERACY DEVELOPMENT
Language and literacy development are supported through use of our center library, print rich classrooms and Spanish Curriculum. Vocabulary, listening and speaking skills are promoted through the use of things like Oral Language Cards, discussing daily routines and writing stories.

Building self confidence, and a sense of self worth is an essential part of Kingdom U.
